Video Of The Holidays

I probably won't be posting on Christmas Eve and positively won't be on Christmas Day. Here is an amazing Movie trailer that came as a real surprise, because it has no title and just came out of the blue. No one knows what is going to happen in this movie, just that it is a monster flick. I can't wait to check it out. Are you interested in it?

Peter Jackson To Produce Hobbit Movies

Apparently New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson have gotten over their differences and come to an agreement over "The Hobbit", a prequel to "The Lord Of The Rings" which Jackson directed. It is also a book written by Tolkien and is less about the one ring than the other three. This book/movie isn't about the fellowship either, but rather a backstory of the people before it (Some Relatives). EX. Bilbo, Gloin (Gimli's Father)

In a statement to the press a spokesman for Jackson said "I'm very pleased that we've been able to put our differences behind us, so that we may begin a new chapter with our old friends at New Line," Jackson said in a statement. "We are delighted to continue our journey through Middle Earth."

There are two hobbit films planned for release and they are going to be shot simultaneously like the other LOTR and also like Pirates of the Caribbean. These films are planned for the release in 2010 and 2011. Well I am glad that's over with and hopefully they can live up to the expectation that the other three LOTR's left us with.

Xbox Live Down And Out

So I go to boot up my 360 because I am about to participate in a Halo 3 tournament and what do I find? "Could Not Connect To Xbox Live". So I think, okay let me test the connection and I see that the xbox live fails. I call 180-4MYXBOX and They tell me that xbox live is down and to try again in a few hours. If you too are experiencing these problems let me know. In my opinion they need to get this up and running ASAP or they will have some angry customers.

EDIT: At about 4:30 I was able to recover my gamertag. Thank goodness they fixed the problems before Christmas.

Here you can watch FULL episodes of select TV shows FREE(unlike itunes,DVR).  I outlined a small amount of the videos on the sites. The shows on there are mainly the very popular one's, but the list is expanding very quickly. If the link is to the main page than click on "Video" and find "Full Episodes" and watch. Some require you to download new flash features. This doesn't take that long and is compatible with most computers. The only one I have had  trouble with is "Cartoon Network" because for some reason it isn't compatible with Mac's.

The list of sites that have this is also updating and I will try to add the new ones as soon as I can. There are also video clips of segments of shows, quick news, behind the scenes, as well as other things. I have caught up on a lot of TV on here and got a chance to see some of the shows I didn't have time to watch. It is a great alternative if you can't get a digital recorder. Do you like this feature?

Halo 3 Review

With all the hype going into Halo 3 I really bought into it. I was just as excited as any fanboy for this game although I hadn't played much Halo 2. Once I played the game for the first time I was ecstatic. It is one of the most fast-paced First Person Shooters I have ever played. This is coming from someone who hasn't really played the Halo franchise and I'm here to say I love the game.

First off, the single player is long enough, but is repetitive if you are going for achievements. I have probably played all the levels 3 or 4 times and I have completed it on Legendary. The game isn't too difficult with coop partners in Legendary, but is insane by yourself with a few skulls turned on. All in all the levels are fairly entertaining except Level 8 Cortana. That ones just a bother. The last level though is a race to the finish type where you have to make it to the ship while all Halo explodes around you and its pretty fun. The levels are set up well enough as to where you can play the single player a couple times. The META game achievements(you earn points by turning on scoring on certain levels and have to get a certain amount) get very old, very fast. After playing the single player a few times it is just a chore and you have to mix it up with the real prize: multiplayer.

Multiplayer is great because of what I mentioned before, the quickness of it. You have to be able to chose your weapons and where your going fast. And when I say chose your weapons I mean it, there is a huge variety of weapons in this game for any style of player. Playing online is highly addictive and very competitive. I enjoy trying to rank up and playing with my friends. The gameplay is very similar to Halo 2. There are new maps, and a increasing number of downloadable content.

The theater and forge are new features that are different from any other game. The theater records and keeps your last 20 games and you can go back and watch them like a movie. You can then edit them and make a video of your great kill, or a screenshot of a funny event.

The forge is also a very cool feature. It allows you to edit the maps and place items where you wish them to be. Although this sounds awesome forge can be difficult and often very frustrating. I think with some minor tinkering it could be much better.

Overall this is also a very good game and a MUST have for any xbox 360 owner. Almost everyone I know has this game and you would be missing out to not get into it. After playing through it for more than 2 months I'm giving it a 9.3/10

Denise From Survivor Lies About Being Fired

Top 4 Survivor Denise, who is a lunch lady, lied about being fired. Apparently she asked for a promotion to some type of janitorial job and received it. Then she tried to play it off like she got fired and had to accept this menial job. Well her employers didn't take to kindly to that and announced her lie to the public... and she's not giving back the $50,000 Mark Burnett gave her to get her life back on track.

EDIT: Denise apparently has decided to give the money to an AIDS foundation. Guess she felt guilty.

Video Of The Day

I'm going to try to post a new video at least by the week hopefully by the day. Here's todays:
The Dark Knight

Personally I am cannot wait to see this one. I love the other Batman and I think Christian Bale has done the best job as Batman so far. I like how Batman is a little more real and seems like he can be hurt.

Assassins Creed Review

Okay so I had heard a lot of mixed reviews about this game and almost did not buy it. That would have been a HUGE mistake. This is one of the most innovative games of our time and I don't mean that lightly. You would be hard-pressed to find another game like this out there.

I'll start with saying that there are an incredible amount of ways you can assassinate people or get to the top of the highest building. First off you can sneak up behind someone and stab them or throw a knife in their back without drawing attention and walk away, you can create a huge sword fight involving guards and finish them all off, you can jump down kill your target and then flee and then jump in a haystack to hide or do it a variety of other ways.

The way you go from building to building is called free-running. It is one of the most fun things I have done in a video game. You can go from blending in with the crowd, to walking slowly, to running, to sprinting as fast as lightning. Then you climb a building, jump on a pole and hide in a roof guarden and the guards are dumbfounded. A lot of my time on this game is spent running around. That is one thing I have heard bad about this game: The length. The length of the story could probably be short if you went through the main assassinations quickly, but that is no fun. There are over 60 side quest assassinations, guards you can kill everywhere and flags to collect. I could see myself playing this game months from now.

Their are a variety of flags sprawled acrosss the entire map. For each road and city you have to collect 25-100 flags. The story for this game is excellent so far and I have heard it will be a trilogy. Their is a shocker in the very beginning of the story that makes the story more interesting.

Overall I have heard that this game sometimes gets repetitive, and I could see that happening, but seriously with all the other games that are out and coming out all you would have to do is take a break. Everytime I have come back to playing this game I have done something new and some of your kills are so stylized it seems like a movie.

Honestly if you are thinking of buying this game, do it and you won't be dissapointed. If you are worried about the length, trust me once you play it you won't be anymore because of all the side things you can do. The achievements are very fun to get and to get them all would take a fairly long time(*cough* Flags *cough*). Ultimately I would give this game a 8.9/10
